Grandma's Visit!

We really enjoyed having Grandma here to visit us--the only thing, it was too short!!!  The weather was beautiful (around 30 degrees every day), so we enjoyed lots of time outside.

If you recall, Jacob had a field trip to the Musee Granet a few Fridays back.  The entire time we were in the Musee, he kept asking, "When are we done? Can we go yet?".   As soon as we walked out the doors, though, he exclaimed the exhibit to be "AWESOME!".  So, this is us walking back to the Musee with Grandma--her first time seeing Monet's, Van Gogh's, and Picasso's, amidst many others--hopefully she was suitably impressed!

Grandma at Place d'Albertas--fitting, I thought, to get a picture of her in front of the fountain!  I often think of home when standing in this square!  Okay, I think of home in lots of places!!!

Joshua helping me to go get groceries.  He usually volunteers, as he knows he can sweet talk me into getting a treat for the walk back....this kid always looks out for his tummy!

One of the "Provencal" shops, selling aprons, soaps, table cloths, and all things unique to this region.

Noah didn't let Grandma far from his grasp while she was here.

Mom and I stumbled across a tapestry museum.  Not sure tapestry's are really my thing, but the building itself was beautiful!  The tapestry's were quite interesting, large, and very colourful, but I definitely prefer painted works of art.
I absolutely love the look of these stores.  For those of you that have been to Okotoks, it reminds me slightly of "All Through the House".  You would need a few hours to browse through everything, if you had the desire.  A tiny little store front (as most stores here are), but they are deep, dark, and hold a certain mystery!

A typical french street in our Centre Ville.  This was mid morning, and the sun was just starting to make its ascent. You can sometimes see the glitter in the stone if you look close enough.
